After a bunch of hours, pulled them back off, started sanding them, and getting them ready for primer and paint.. Then Final assembly...

Update:

Gen Right fenders prepped and primed...

Used a polymer high build primer, went on like butter.

The primer would not last, top coat is necessary. I have a nice 3 part single stage can of black.

Update,
got the top coat on last evening. Using real automotive paint does make a difference. I used a single stage gloss black with activator and hardener I got from Kayfield. Stuff sprayed really well with a 1.4 mm tip. The HVLP gun I used was the best one they sell at Harbor Freight ($69 - 25% coupon) , and I have to say it worked really well. I little run I need to fix. I liked the texture the primer left, so I only lightly sanded it. So the top coat has a nice effect.

Flat Fenders installed, whew, plus all LED lighting, even used the TJ marker lights behind the side grills. Overall pretty time consuming but worthwhile job. I plan to re-spray the exterior since they did pick up a few scratches and marks.
